THE PLACE OF BUGAN & WIGAN (the mt. amuyao trek)

i can't write anything about this expedition. i'm totally out of words. i can't possibly create or come up with a story. there's just no words good enough to describe the experience.

hence, i'll just let the pictures tell the story of this undescribable experience and landscape!

not the usual ride

same route. same destination. new acquaintances. an extraordinary view.

yep, that's how i would describe my last ride. nothing new with the route, but what made it better was sharing it with a couple of new riding buddies.... plus a peculiar view of our destination.

the magat reservoir was the crest of the "magat back-door loop" route - one of the most priced route of the Santiago City based independent mountain biking herd. this time, it didn't look like a reservoir, though. no lakes. no water. just plain beautiful prairie. it appeared to me as a wide playground where i can ride my bike to any direction i want to. talk about being a child again.

and so.... it was named, marbujek camp and snail falls

the trek was barely 30 minutes, aftyerwhich, we were all awed by the beauty of another discovery, the IT was to camp at harodero, but, mesmerized as we were, we settled at the river bank of the newly discovered natural wonder, later coined as marbujek.

moments later, the archangel michael emerged and the intoxication commenced.

standing at about 20 feet high, the falls has a big lagoon with chilly water that no one dared swim... any way, malamig talaga...

team marbujek: jekerz, bullet, marvin, alex, yrza, apo annu, pet, lovelyn, francis, clifford, hypo pooh and jojo.

marbujek - noun; 1) derived from the word marvin, bullet and jekjek - 3 species of fungus that are most abundant in the sewerage canals of santiago city during the rainy season; 2) name of the newly discovered camp by the north wind outdoor recreation club; 3) discovered on may 31, 2008.
